How we work
We are working for you, so we offer flexibility.
There are four options available to you, which are:
- Home visit - Our Wills Executives will come to your home and discuss what you want to do and explain what options are available. One visit is all that is needed!
- Postal service - If you prefer we can prepare your will by correspondence through the post. We will send you a short questionnaire together with a specially designed Wills booklet. The booklet will take them through things step by step.
- Email service - similar to that above for a postal service but faster.
- Telephone service - We can take instructions over the phone, if you wish. The call would typically take about thirty minutes.
In all cases we will send you a wills pack. This will help you consider what you want your will to do with your possessions after you are no longer here. It will also make you consider other things you may not have thought about, such as whom do you want to look after your children, if they are young.
If you wish to use the home visit option, there may be an addtional fee to cover our travel costs, normally £50 provided you are within 35 miles of our office. This fee will be agreed with you prior to our accepting your instructions.
Once we have your instructions we will prepare the will in accordance with them.
We will also send you a letter to confirm what you have asked us to do. This letter will also explain how long this will take and how much we will charge for the service.
